Found speaker pods for the rear deck on ebay, replaced my butchered up attempt at speaker instalation 15 years ago. adjusted the front bumper so it tucks nicely, and put the right connector on the electric fan... a lot of what I’m going over now is because this was my daily for 15 years, some repairs facilitate solutions out of necessity, let call them “rig jobs”, the work of a 15 to 20 year younger me.. I bought this car because I’ve always wanted it, but I bought it ato a time when I had no business buying it! Thank God I never listened to anyone who told me to sell it and get something newer. Idiots!

I tried for a long time to only make mods that involved no permanent changes, as I was confident I’d make a poor choice, or perhaps just a trendy choice and styles would change. I stuck to it for a long time, with few exceptions. It’s been a good decision. I KNOW my giant ricer wing is alreayd out of fashion, and soon enough I’ll want to change it also.
Love your BMW!

Yea I need to do that with my Fiero at some point. The worst, and the first I need to undo is the fog-light install and cut springs. Luckily my sub and amp was installed in a very temporary fashion, so it was easy to just lift out.. the speakers themselves and the deck, I had done a decent enough job on luckily. Some of the “rig jobs” for the popup headlights have already failed, so I need to do it all from scratch, the right way.
Even now though, just selling it and buying an un-molested example is tempting.. if it only ran fine. But that’s not a problem a younger me caused exactly. It’s a result of a well enough done engine-swap, that was never finished completely.. that and it sitting un-driven.
